More unsigned electro joy from Sydney!
Aeons are two young fellows of musical temperament who have recently shunned the rampant alcoholism and questionable odours of Sydney’s alternative band scene. Ignoring my warning about the impending global electro recession, they’ve traded in guitars for some shiny new synths and software oscillators. Or maybe they kept the guitars. I don’t know if Cubase give store credit for old guitars.
But anyway, they’ve got new shit and used it to make new songs. Holla!
Aeons have given Electrorash one of their new tracks, ‘Where the Sky Meets the Sea’ (epic much?), and we’ve been assured there’s much more to come. No gigs coming up and pretty much only one song to hear right now, but it’s a damn good song. And cause i’m the Hamilton Cork of the electro-verse , i can well and truly tell you from this one song that these guys will be hooooge.
There’s a Presets vibe to lead singer Lance’s crooning vocals, as they soar across a driving piano chorus, Close Cover style… It’s heartfelt yet banging and has radio written all over it in tiny and precise digital letters

PS:
if you haven’t already, watch THIS because (like the Black Death) it is sickness and illness to the x-treme.

Can anyone else hear an undercurrent of Bag Raiders’ Fun Punch?! And the Presets vibe is too obvious, might’ve worked a bit better were it more subtle. Can’t say I’m a fan.
