So I’ve decided that Acid Jacks are one of my favourite acts. I seriously love everything they do. I also love the fact that when I talk about them I can be all, “I fully dig those Acid Jacks tracks,” because I like to rhyme. I’ve been obsessing over their latest release, Disco Shoes, pretty hard at the moment. Those sex-charged vocals are so rad. If you haven’t heard it yet and you appreciate the brilliance that is Awake Since ’78, you really need to get on this. Fast. And if you don’t appreciate the brilliance that is Awake Since ’78, come and see me in my office, because I’m assuming you harbour several other major personality problems that we need to discuss. (You can pack a sandwich…) The single also features three remixes, Electrixx; Subs; and Extended Bass Odyssey, the Subs one being my favourite because the vocals get quite manic, so I’ve posted it below.
In other Acid Jacks news, they’re playing a set in Sydney this Saturday night at Tank (eww), which I’d ordinarily be all over (despite the shitty venue), only it’s the same night as Crystal Castles. So Sydney kids, make sure you turn up to either one of those shows and, you know, burn it up in your disco shoes.
